As a Private House Cleaner, you’ll support individuals, seniors, people with disabilities, or those recovering from injuries by helping to maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming home.

Casual Position Overview:
Private House Cleaners help our clients with:
  • General household cleaning such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitization.
  • Laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens.
  • Kitchen cleaning including wiping surfaces, cleaning appliances, washing dishes, and emptying rubbish bins.
  • Bathroom cleaning, such as scrubbing showers, toilets, and sinks.
  • Organising general areas of the home where requested to create a tidy environment.
  • Logging visits and task completion via a smartphone application.

Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate has their own vehicle to use to commute between services.
  • They are proactive, trustworthy, and attentive to the unique preferences of each household.
  • They should be reliable and committed to delivering high-quality cleaning services, with strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Flexibility for work within school hours is available for this casual position, and our aim is to build regular, ongoing rosters.

Private House Cleaners are required to have:
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Victorian Driver’s License.
  • A well-maintained, comprehensively insured, and registered vehicle.
  • Previous cleaning experience in private homes or a similar environment with transferable skills.
  • Physical capability to complete cleaning tasks efficiently.
  • Working with Children Check (WWC) is advantageous but not essential.

Training required:
  • NDIS worker orientation module.
  • NDIS New Worker Induction module.
  • Infection control module.

Remuneration:
Good Works for Australia pays SCHADS award wages, including generous casual allowances based on the type and location of each job. Pay includes a base rate and applicable travel or cleaning-related allowances and reimbursements.

Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrated experience or ability to perform tasks listed in the position overview.
  • Alignment with our commitment to respectful and professional service.
  • Ability to meet compliance and qualification requirements.
  • Availability to work a minimum of three days per week.
  • Registered, insured, and road-worthy vehicle.
